  "html": "<p>I take rsync for granted.  It's just the best way to keep stuff <i>out there</i>\nup to date with stuff <i>over here</i>, and vice versa.  And lately, I've been\nusing it to supplant my usage of <code>scp</code>.  And it works.  Brilliantly.  And until\nrecently, I hadn't stopped to realize:  Hey, you know, this thing somehow works\nout differences between files <i>out there</i> and <i>over here</i> long <i>before</i>\nwhat's <i>here</i> gets <i>there</i>.  I know, duh, but I just hadn't considered it.</p>\n<p>Well,\n<a href=\"http://weblog.bluepenguin.us/archives/2003/04/22/rsync_one_of_the_wonders_of_the_cs_world.html\" target=\"_top\">Paul Holbrook reminded me</a>\nof this tonight, with links to <a href=\"http://samba.anu.edu.au/~tridge/\" target=\"_top\">Andrew Tridgell</a>'s\npaper on the algorithm, among other things.
